As we proudly celebrated the 100th anniversary of our cherished Mahlkönig brand in 2024, we take this special moment to share with you our vision for the future of Hemro Group in the years to come.

At Hemro, we are proud to be recognized as the global leader in high-quality coffee grinding. Our continued growth is driven by groundbreaking innovations such as Grind-by-Time, Grind-by-Weight, and most recently, Grind-by-Sync.

Staying true to our roots - grinding is, and always will be, our core expertise - we are now ready to expand on this foundation. Our success over the past 100 years is the result of consistently thinking beyond traditional boundaries and viewing the world through the eyes of our customers.

Our customers continue to ask for the best quality in the cup and high convenience in preparation. This inspired us to create the new Grind-by-Sync technology. We envision a future where the coffee recipe is set directly at the grinder, creating a real-time collaboration with espresso machines for a consistent and repeatable brew every time. We elaborate hereinafter how this vision and strategy is implemented in the three segments we are active in - Professional, Home & Component Solutions:

Professional Solutions

In the professional sector, we are committed to strong partnerships with espresso and filter machine brands. Our aim is to integrate Grind-by-Sync technology across brands of your choice. With robust connection via Wi-Fi or cable, we ensure a smooth and intelligent dialogue between grinder and coffee machine. This will enable coffee shops to show their artisanal craftsmanship while reducing the complexity of coffee preparation by minimizing steps and time.

For coffee machines lacking built-in connectivity, we are excited to introduce the Sync Scale, that will be launched this summer. This solution bridges the communication gap syncing brew parameters between the grinder and machine, ensuring precision and consistency so that your favorite recipes are always on point. 

Home Segment 

While the professional segment has seen a major drive towards a “quality in the cup” orientation, the home segment is just at the beginning of this development. In order to support this movement, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our first home grinder with Grind-by-Sync technology and a built-in scale - the E64 WS grinder - arriving in late fall 2025. In response to the growing demand for bundled solutions in the home segment, we will also debut the first Mahlkönig Home Espresso Machine during the same period.

We are delighted to welcome Holger Dreissig, founder of Xenia Espresso, to the Hemro family. Together, we are creating quality coffee moments at home.

For our loyal customers who wish to continue using their existing home espresso machines, the Sync Scale will also be available for use with our Grind-by-Sync home grinder, the E64 WS.

Component Solutions

Lastly, we’d like to emphasize that our business unit Component Solutions, focused on burrs and built-in grinders, continues unaffected and remains a key pillar of our innovation strategy. We see that more and more fully automated machines are used next to an artisanal approach with professional espresso and filter machines just to maximize efficiency in the work process.
